Researchers of a company located at Innovation Center of the Electrical Engineering Faculty have developed applications based on designing drug interactions, early diagnosis of disease based on intelligent algorithms and clinical data, diagnosis of brain and neurological diseases through paraclinical and clinical data processing.

Nima Sharifi Sadeghi, head of Pishgam Health Assistant Company (RNS) and implementer of the project “Analysis and separating the diseases reducing psyche using deep networks, improvement of 3D-separtion of brain tumor using generalized multi-layer networks”, tried to design applications for this project”.

Referring to one of these application, he could prepare a set of applications which can diagnose brain and neurological diseases automatically without intervention of a doctor.

This application can diagnose brain and neurological diseases using differential diagnoses and paraclinical images.

This is the first application in Iran which diagnoses brain and neurological diseases; this application acts like a doctor and helps the doctor in decision-making.

In this application, they collected 938 diseases and 10,000 specialized questions and published them based on a decision-making algorithm; through these, the patient can find his/her disease by answering to these questions.

Regarding the native application designed by this team for the field of medicine, the second application designed by this team is about drug interactions, because recently the lives of many people are endangered by drug interactions.

This system checks the drug used by patient and finds interactions; in fact, this system acts like a doctor assistant and ensure drug interactions do not harm the patient.

The third system we design in this center is about diagnosing diseases such as MS, Alzheimer and Parkinson using clinical signs.

Their aim from designing these applications is to raise awareness and reduce the percentage of medical errors as a result of raising medical standards.

Despite of designing these applications in first world countries such as United States and United Kingdom, they are not in accordance with standards of our country; so, we needed to design applications required by our country.

With emphasizing the importance of electronic health and ease of treatment in our country, these applications will soon enter the Café Bazar Application and will be available for use.

This project has been completed under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad-Bagher Mahnaj, Full Professor in Electrical Engineering.
